What do the scriptures say in the NLT New Testament

 

Matthew 9

13 Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

 

“Sinners to repentance” is exactly what Jesus did with her. She was thankful, despite all the trouble she had to accept it and trust in him.

 

Matthew 10

34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.

 

Matthew 11

29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

 

30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

 

John 6
