Proverbs 26:2

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

I had to ask what this scripture meant because I couldn’t understand it for the life of me. My answer was that the verse is talking about how curses just don’t randomly happen. So to what I learn from that: A curse is put on us through sin. We have curses from our great grandparents and even longer than that with some of them. God talked about curses back in the days of Moses and just because we are not subject to the books of law does not mean they do not still affect us. Jesus came so that we could be set free from those curses, not so we wouldn’t get them in the first place.
