Proverbs 21: 23

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Keeping on from the last verse and a follow up from Proverb 15:1-3. If your wise then you will keep your mouth shut. If your foolish then you will basically say whatever is off the top of your head. Doing that can get you into trouble with not only people but also with the Lord. You can have a more peaceful life if keep your mouth shut. This is where “silence is golden” comes into play.
